My son went to a Valentine’s party and we made these popsicle stick Valentine puzzles. These popsicle stick Valentine puzzles are easy to make and are super cute. Once we painted them, and it took a couple coats because the wooden sticks eat the paint right up, I used paint pens to decorate them. Once the puzzles were dry I used a small hole punch to punch a hole in the top of each stick, attached a Happy Valentine’s tag, and used twine to tie it all together.

Step 1 – Paint the popsicle sticks a background color. You might need to do a couple of coats.
Step 2 – Once the popsicle sticks are dry use the paint pens to draw a Valentine’s themed puzzle.
Step 3 – Prepare your tags with whatever saying you want them to have and the givers name. Mine said: Happy Valentine’s Day and on the back to: and from:
Step 4 – Punch holes in the popsicle sticks and bundle them up.
Step 5 – Use twine, yarn, ribbon, et cetera to tie everything together.
My toddler had a fun time painting the sticks the solid background color. He also helped me thread the sticks and tags on the twine. Making these popsicle stick Valentine’s puzzles was a fun activity and we ended up with a nice Valentine’s to give out. We even had some extras and they are in my toddler’s busy box for him to solve.
